Boost For Raila’s AUC Bid As President Ruto Secures Ghanaian President’s Support

President William Ruto has endorsed Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Shirley Botchwey for the Commonwealth Secretary General post. 

Speaking during an address in Ghana on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, Ruto affirmed Kenya’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s bid for the commonwealth seat, in efforts to promote Africa’s growth at large. 

In return, Ghana’s President  Akufo-Addo committed to supporting Kenya’s candidature for the position of Chairperson of the African Union Commission 2025-2028.
