TaitaTaveta Deputy Governor Majala Mlagui, High Commissioner of India to Kenya, H.E. Dr Virander Paul have grace the unveiling of Indian monument to commemorate those who died during World War I.

The Deputy Governor said more can be done to boost Battlefield Tourism in the County and to ensure locals are incorporated positively as they also took part in this historic event.

“ We need to train our youths on our culture in a bid to pass this invaluable knowledge sustainably for generations,” she said.

In attendance were H.E. Dr Virander Paul, High Commissioner of India to Kenya, Col. Kitur, KDF, Brig. Sumit Mehta, Indian Army, Captain Nitesh Garg, Indian Defence Adviser, WO Ramneek Singh, Indian Army, Major Ambuka, KDF, Mohammed Hersi Group Director Pollmans Tours and Safaris among others.
