Mama Ngina shaves freedom fighter’s dreadlocks

Former First Lady, Mama Ngina Kenyatta, led a special ceremony of cutting Mau Mau Heroine Field Marshall Muthoni’s 60 years old dreadlocks in Nyeri Town on Saturday as per the veteran’s wishes to have Mama Ngina cut her dreadlocks and to bless President Uhuru Kenyatta. For 70 years, she has donned her dreadlocks with pride as a testimony to her participation in the struggle for independence against the colonialists.
