Haiti’s transition council on Tuesday in charge of overseeing Haiti’s political transition has named politician Garry Conille as the Caribbean nation’s next prime minister.
The transition council voted 6-1 to install Conille as interim prime minister, a member told Reuters.
Haiti has been experiencing unrest for over two years now as gangs maintain a chokehold on large swathes of territory of the Caribbean nation.
