Nairobi Kisumu Railway in operation after about a decade of zero passenger services on that line.

The Managing Director of Kenya Railways, Mr. Philip J. Mainga, EBS oversaw the departure from Nairobi of the first Kisumu Safari Train after about a decade of zero passenger services on that line.

The train’s crew were on their marks, executing their duties diligently including ushering in the passengers and checking their tickets as they boarded to be part of the beginning of a service that is expected to have numerous positive effects to the country and region at large.
