Sabina Chege Loses Deputy Minority Whip Position

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula has upheld a decision by Azimio Members of Parliament to strip off Nominated MP Sabina Chege her role as Deputy Minority Whip.

In a ruling made on October 25, Speaker Wetangula confirmed her dismissal from the parliamentary role.

“Currently there is no bar against the decision made by the minority party to replace its whip. In this regard, Mark Mwenje replaces Sabina Chege as the Deputy Whip of the Minority party,” Wetang’ula ruled.
